Hey — maybe you’ve been enjoying Cyberpunk 2077 despite its many issues. For some players, it is a 2020 game of the year, even if it doesn’t run all that well on base consoles. If you fall into this category, perhaps you’re already chomping at the bit for Cyberpunk 2077 DLC. If that’s the case, we have some good news for you regarding when you might see that additional content.

According to the game’s official website, Cyberpunk 2077 DLC should be arriving sometime in “early 2021.” What does that mean? In most cases, the word “early” signifies the first quarter of the year or a point slightly afterward. So you’re looking at January, February, March, or potentially April as spots where this new Cyberpunk 2077 content might drop.

Of course, nothing is set in stone in Pandemic World. Developer CD Projekt Red might find that getting DLC out in that window isn’t feasible, and could delay it as a result. There’s also the matter of the game’s many bug fixes, as well as the promise of next-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077. Work on all of that could also push the DLC back further.

Still, it’s nice to know that DLC could actually come sooner rather than later. Getting add-on content for a title always feels strange when it comes many months or even years after the fact. You can sometimes forget where the story left off. Releasing this DLC in early 2021 would ensure the tales told in Cyberpunk 2077 are still fresh in your mind.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the Cyberpunk 2077 website for more specific details about DLC release dates. Until then, if you’re having fun with CD Projekt Red’s latest, keep digging around. There’s likely more you’ve yet to uncover in the base game.
