Spencer said in his statements to The Wrap that he thinks the stock problems of consoles will continue for a long time. He said that the global chip shortage has hindered the development of cars, phones, and televisions, as well as the development of consoles. Microsoft is having trouble producing more Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X due to this chip shortage.
Spencer also thinks that the problem is not just caused by the chip shortage. “It’s also not easy to get all the materials needed to build a console and bring it to markets where there is demand,” says Spencer. For this reason, he says that stock problems will continue until the end of this year and even in the next year.
Demand for Xbox Series X/S Keeps Increasing
