Techland Announced Dying Light 2 Release Date

Dying Light 2 release date is revealed. Techland’s new title will be available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S later this year.

There has been a long time since we last heard anything about Dying Light 2. Although there have been lots of rumors, Techland has not revealed much about the upcoming game. That ended today as the Dying Light 2 gameplay trailer hit the official YouTube channel of the series.

The gameplay trailer also revealed the Dying Light 2 release date. The game will launch on December 7th, 2021, on various platforms. You can watch the 8-minute video below.

After a long time of silence, the developer shared lots of details about the sequel. Apart from the gameplay trailer, Techland also shared a lenghty video titlted Dying Light 2 Stay Human – Dying 2 Know: Episode 1. The video focuses on the protagonist of the game and reveals details about the world of Dying Light as well.

The video includes interviews with the world and narrative directors of the game along with many others who worked in the development. Episode 1 of the show also focuses on the effects of choices in the game and reveals Dying Light Premium Edition. The platinum edition will include every content that had been made for the game so far.

About Dying Light 2

The sequel will allow players to forge alliances throughout The City. Players will assume the role of a Pilgrim called Aidan Caldwell who belongs to a group named Nightrunners. The second game of the series will follow the events in the first game but it will make a time jump of 20 years.

We should also state that the pre-orders for Dying Light 2 on Xbox Store will start later. You will be able to pre-order the game at 10 pm CET or 1 pm PST.

Dying Light 2 will also be available on PS4, PS5, and PC in addition to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
